Our patients are living proof that lives needn’t be defined by disease processes or medically necessary equipment.
We recently asked some of our nurses, “Where’s the coolest place you’ve ever been with one of your patients?” to illustrate how full each of our patient’s lives truly are at home.
Watch our “Nurse on the Street” video to hear what our nurses had to say:
As you can see, many of the experiences shared have not only expanded the lives of our patients, but the lives of our nurses, too. They’ve shared unique experiences with our patients that they may not have had if it weren’t for their profession.
In the words of Tammy, RN, one of our nurses featured in the video, who shared the experience of movie night with her ventilator-dependent patient at a local church: “We just felt like regular people. We had a wonderful time.”
Where is one of the coolest places you’ve ever been with one of your patients? Tell us here!
[This is our first-ever “Nurse on the Street” video, where we share real-time reactions, opinions, and stories from our nursing team.]
