Home Nursing Residency Program
We encourage nurses to apply who have a strong interest in caring for medically complex, technology-dependent patients. Additional requirements include: 3.0 GPA minimum (on a 4.0 scale); licensed to work in the state of Illinois; CPR certified; two letters of recommendation (one academic and one clinical); and the ability to travel to patient homes (at least 30 miles).
Ideal qualities for prospective Residents include an interest in working autonomously, demonstrated leadership abilities, a positive and respectful attitude, and strong critical thinking skills.
During our four-week training program, nurses will participate in didactic and clinical education, which includes classroom education, patient observation and clinical sites.
Residents who successfully complete the training program will begin working full-time in the field with ongoing support from our Home Nursing Residency Manager.
If you or someone you know are interested in a residency position, go to our Careers site to apply for one of our Home Nursing Residency positions.
