Danielle Albinger, BSN, RN
Assistant Director of Clinical Services
Danielle started with Independence Plus in 2021 as Assistant Director of Clinical Services, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in nursing. She graduated from College of DuPage with an associate degree of nursing in 1993 and from Lewis University with a bachelor’s degree of nursing in 2002. Her first nursing job was on a very specialized neurology unit, at Rush Presbyterian Medical Center, where she also worked in the emergency department. In 1998, Danielle accepted a position at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, working as a staff nurse, preceptor, and charge nurse in the emergency department of the level I trauma center. In 2005, she was promoted to EMS and Emergency Management Coordinator at Good Samaritan and remained there until earlier this year.
Danielle is a certified Pediatric and Trauma emergency department nurse instructor, initiated by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). She also is an Emergency Medical Services lead instructor and has facilitated continuing education to paramedics from many area fire departments. She was instrumental in the COVID emergency response planning and implementation at Good Samaritan Hospital.
On a personal note, Danielle is a United States Navy Veteran and the proud aunt of three nephews (whom she spoils rotten). When she is not working or spending time with family and friends, she loves to golf, travel to warm destinations, and watch the Hallmark channel (especially at Christmas time).
